I have a PACE TDC777D DVR. While scrolling through my library of recordings, about 12-15 hours of recordings suddenly disappeared from the listing. I thought i deleted them, but my DVR is showing 47% full with only 3 hours of HD recordings; advertised capacity is 20 hrs HD and up to 90 hrs of SD. No other recordings appear in the listings. That percentage seems much too high. I've also checked the DVR history and none of the deleted programs show up there, especially as deleted. I'm wondering if the lost recordings are still on the unit and if so, how to recover them or restore the listing. I rebooted the unit but no change. I've contacted manufacturer (no response yet) and I'll contact Cogeco if necessary, but want to check with other user experience first?

[INTERNET] Cogeco Never Knows When Upgrades Are Being Deployed
I think that its very strange that Cogeco never knows, even in a broad sense, when upgrades in areas on their network will be deployed. You would think that the company would have some idea when this will happen. Presumably, they would have to allocate and plan resources to accomplish these upgrades. A friend of mine is with a major cable provider in the US and he is informed months in advance when his area will receive upgrades to service. I understand that they won't be able to give a specific date, but as stated above, they should be able to have a general idea when it will happen. They just seem to have a policy of never knowing when it will happen. They don't seem to have a problem advertising the upgrades though.

Cogeco in Niagara region - no more clear QAM?
For the past 5+ years, we've had Cable internet, but no cable TV. We just use antenna, netflix, and some HDHomerun tuners hooked into into Windows Media Center.
Cogeco in Niagara has always broadcast about 60-70 channels in clear QAM during this period. This included all the main networks you can get on ATSC/antenna, but also some specialty channels and TSN, teletoon, YTV, and a few more.They occasionally would move around the channels, so we'd need to do a re-scan and then re-link the channels to the guide listings in Media center. But you can't complain about free.
However, for the last month, it seems just about all those clear QAM channels are gone, just leaving stuff like their PPV commercial channels and local cogeco channel.
Anyone else notice this same thing? Anyone else still getting all the clear QAM?

[INTERNET] Belleville,Ontario K8N4Z5-High Latency and Packet Loss
I purchase the package with 30mbps. Up until about 2 weeks ago I tested and was actually coming back with 35mbps.
Hooked up an andriod tv box and had to speed test as I need 15+ to stream HD. During peak times max down is 7-11mbps and up is 3-8mbps. Off peak I can only get up to 15down and 9up.
Called Cogeco, they say they can see high latency and packet loss on my line. It's not due to my router or modem. They're sending out a tech but their "Earliest" appt is like 6 days away. Then if they discover the problem is not unique to my setup, they will have to dispatch an area technician to investigate the issue.
I think it's an area issue. There are 2 new subdivisions that have just been brought online in the last year and I think Cogego's at capacity for the area but not recognizing or admitting it yet.
Anyway, anyone having the same problem in the K8N area?
Is there anything I can do but wait this out?

RFOG questions
I live in an area where Cogeco is upgrading our cabling to this fibre stuff the guy said was RFOG. I should have asked him but does this mean they will have to change the boxes on the side of our house where Cogeco service terminates? As of now there's a few green boxes on the lawns of our neighbours which is where these guys pulled 'Corning RFOG' thingies to. From the green box is where the cable goes to our house.

clear qam dropping in Kingston?
Anyone else in Kingston suspecting that Cogeco is dropping the clear qam channels? I can't seem to tune a lot that I used to be able to.
Sad, sad day. There really is absolutely no excuse for not providing basic cable (those channels that everyone gets with any cable package) on clear qam. Other than to drive up revenues from the sales of digital boxes that is.
This is why doctors don't sell medicine. It's a conflict of interest. The CRTC should mandate the use of CableCard (or other third-party tuning device enabling technology).

[TV] Rebooting Tivo Mini
I have had Tivo for three weeks now and have had to power cycle the mini twice because it could not find the Tivo box and today the picture and sound would freeze after a few seconds on any channel I tried, a power cycle solved it. Is this normal behavior for the Tivo Mini ?

[INTERNET] How to enable phone jack on Arris TG2472 modem?
Hi! I'm new on Cogeco and I have the TG2472 modem because I have Tivo + Cable internet.
I noticed the modem is VOIP. I am already using a VOIP ATA device for my account on voip.ms. I wonder if it's possible to activate the phones jacks on the modem so I can configure my account on the modem instead of the ATA?

Sick of Cogeco evening Slowdowns
Got Cogeco at our new house December 2014. Immediately noticed slow speeds in the evening and called in.
Turns out it is congestion on the NODE and they have to split the node. This was to be done by June 2015. Well it still has not been fixed. This really puts a damper on online gaming as the latency and speed being both crap in the evening make it unplayable.
Unfortunately the only other option around here is DSL that is 6 megs down (too slow for multiple Netflix users.. and I stupidly signed a contract before my promotion ended in June so that I could avoid the hassle of switch and I was assured they would have their network fixed.
