Had some issues connecting my 360 to the new modem I got when i upgraded to unlimited 50, model is a arris tg862, after much googling i found it's a known issue with this modem and the xbox and it was actually fixed in a firmware update.
Ok, great I thought to myself I'll update the firmware and be good to go...... how wrong could i be it turns out despite using a updated firmware everywhere else cogeco canada feels we only deserve a firmware made in June of 2013 if you look at the history of arris updates there's been a few since then and one specifically addressed the 360 issue.
So called into tech support, after 6 calls where we attempted to get the firmware to update I get " promoted to level 2" who calls me back just to inform me that that is the latest firmware cogeco uses and I quote "you should stop bitching" .
So why are we as paying customers stuck on outdated software when the rest of the world ( hell even comcast ) get updated?
Also if anyone is having this problem, the only fix for this if your on cogeco currently is to disable the modem firewall.
