Tivo Box - Netflix & YouTube Down

My Tivo box is working just fine, but the Netflix and YouTube apps have been offline all day. As soon as I click one of the apps the Tivo says "App Temporarily Unavailable blah blah (V301)". I manually reconnected the box to the TiVo service (took about 15 mins) as suggested on the Cogeco error page but they're still down. Anyone else having the same issue or, better yet, know how to fix this?

I signed up for paperless billing and was entered in the Cogeco "Win your bill" contest. In August, I received an email titled "Congratulations! Cogeco Win Your Bill Contest Winner!" I foolishly thought they would automatically credit my account, even though the bill didn't show it, which resulted in my getting a late fee, and double bill the following month. After I still hadn't been credited, I called them. The woman I spoke to was very nice and confirmed I had won, so arranged for my account to be credited. They have a 'predictive billing' system, so she could see that I would be credited on my next bill. Of course, I received my new bill a few days ago, and there is still no credit. Why, Cogeco, is it a hassle for me to get the prize you awarded me? Is it this way for every 'winner' of your contest?

I've always watched city tv on demand (under on demand channels) and it has disappeared. Hope to see it back for the fall tv season

Well, our Tivo gave us a green screen of death today. Ya know, that stuff happens. Cogeco, however, is ridiculously unresponsive and painful to deal with...I find it amazing just how bad they are to respond quickly and efficiently deal with their customers... We have been having Tivo issues for 2 weeks...pixellation, freezing, recordings going seizure like...my wife called two weeks ago. The Tivo froze while they were instructing her to reboot it (the little Tivo guy froze). Cogeco said "that's not good, usually that means your box is going". It eventually reset and everything seemed fine so they said we were good. A week later and we call as it has gotten unuseable and we are losing every single thing we record...they send a tech out who replaces a couple of coax connectors and some line and says you are good. It is then good for a few days and happens again. Wife calls while I am away and they say it'll be two days before anyone can come out...and it will be anywhere from 8 to 5. F(*%ing inconvenient for my wife at home with our 8 month old. This morning the Tivo gives us a green screen of death...good thing that there is a tech coming... wait, it is now 3, no tech yet. I HATE cogeco service...so much history here about how they can never get it right. I'd rather deal with airport security...

I live in Stoney Creek between Fruitland Rd and Fifty Rd on the north side and I've been having issues with Cogeco's internet, on and off, for almost a full year now. I've been experiencing very slow connection speeds and last night's speeds pushed me to the breaking point. I'm paying for 30M/10M service and what I'm getting is typically 10M/10M during peak (I'm assuming 7pm-10pm is peak) this is bad enough (if I were to only pay Cogeco 30% of my bill on a continuing basis I'm sure I'd be cut off fairly quickly), but last night's blistering 1.5M/1.5M speeds pushed me over the edge. I would like to know from a Cogeco rep, what EXACTLY is going on with my service. I work in the industry so feel free to use technical terms with me....like latency and jitter (my jitter last night was over 1100ms...when I talked to tech support I'm surprised it went thru). Really, I'm extremely frustrated right now and I'm seriously considering ending the internet fiasco here.

[INTERNET] Slowdown in streaming speed last 2-3 weeks

I have been video streaming with my 15Mbps Down/1Mbps Up connection with Cogeco for the last year, but in the last 2 to 3 weeks I have noticed the speed goes down from that to about 5-6Mbps max. when streaming. I have tested connecting to the modem and via an AC-1900 router, but after about 30 seconds to a minute the speed starts deteriorating severely where it constantly buffers. I wonder if Cogeco is trying to get people to upgrade to higher packages for streaming, but have heard horror stories about 55Mbps packages as well. So I am considering changing over to Bell Fibe if this keeps up. I still have an old ARRIS modem, and have been with Cogeco for at least 15 years, but am really ticked off with either their over-sale of their residential network or their stream mods. I have tested using Ookla, and DSLreports, and both give me about the same results. Windows 10 Computer, Linksys AC1900 router Cat 6 network cable Android box

Arris router and Chromecast

Ever since I updated my TV service to TiVo my Chromecast won't connect to the Arris router. I've gone through my settings in my router and can't seem to figure out . AP is disabled, UPNP is enabled, I've tried diabling the firewall. Toggled between my security settings, disabled 5ghz. Am I missing something?

Last 2 days I have been receiving Sex related emails. Although they are addressed to me they also CC numerous other Cogeco Accounts or have my account in the CC. It would seem there has been a breech in account ids in order for these emails to be so addressed to numerous Cogeco Accounts. For your information!

[TV] No HDMI signal from Pace RNG 200 to Samsung TV

Recently I turned on the TV and it displayed "No signal". My Set Top Box (Pace RNG 200) is connected on HDMI 1 on my Samsung TV. I checked all of the connections, checked a computer that is connected on HDMI 3 (it displayed OK), I plugged the STB HDMI cable into HDMI 3 on the TV, still no signal. Swapped HDMI cables, No Signal. The STB displayed the time or channel as expected on the front display. After a call with Cogeco support, and a remote factory reset, it still did not work. A second call into Cogeco support and they said to exchange the STB at my local Cogeco store. After swapping the box, still exact same issue. No HDMI signal from the STB to the TV. Checked all cables and connections again, but still no luck with the HDMI cable between the STB and the TV. After another call to Cogeco, we decided to try the component cables between the STB and the TV. This worked perfectly fine. I resorted to calling Samsung, who had me factory reset the tv, but still the same results. Everything works except this connection. The TV has HDMI connections working fine with a Samsung Bluray player, and a computer using a Display Port (from computer) to HDMI adapter. Both of these devices work fine on all HDMI ports on the TV. The STB refuses to work on any of the HDMI ports on the TV. Any ideas?

Arris undocumented backdoors?

My mother recently had her package upgraded and her modem was replaced with some Arris modem/router/wap/voip combo box. I've said for years that people shouldn't trust these garbage devices, especially since Bell has been hocking them for DSL for like 10 years... and this backdoor proves me right all the same.

Just wondering if anyone here on the Cogeco board has tried Bell Fibe? I have been a long time Cogeco client (since Cablenet) but recently the number of problems are mounting. For instance ... TV pixelation issues on multiple channels, overall poor HD quality, lack of AMC HD, and now coupled with node noise (tech was out today) on our street causing me to have upload of less than 1 mbps (an MRO has been ordered as several people have called in). It just seems to me that Cogeco is going downhill ... but is Bell any better? I can get unlimited 50/10 mbps, basic phone and similar channels plus the movie network for about $30 cheaper than Cogeco. I have seen Bell Fibe and the quality of the picture looks impressive but what about the Internet service?

My husband sent some from his cogeco.ca account to me at 11:44pm on the 20th, it's now 2:04am on the 21st and no emails. It started sometime after 7:20pm on the 20th. That was the last email my husband received. Cogeco is reporting no outages at this time. Anyone else not receiving emails? Edit: Using Windows Live Mail 2011 client. Edit 2: It seems that we can receive emails that are sent from different email clients. The ones we send say they have send, but no one is receiving them. I can both send and receive emails using the default email client on my android tablet. I have not tried the cogeco web mail yet. Edit 3: I can send and receive using the cogeco web mail. It's seems the sent emails in Windows Live Mail are not reaching their destination.

Since cogeco installed the above modem I can't use airprint to print from my wireless network. I've read online that these modems are not compatible with "bonjour" which airprint needs to work. Of course cogeco is saying the problem is with my printer and apple products which is untrue since everything worked fine before the arris modem??? Any suggestions?
